Star Citizen - Chris Roberts, lots of spaceship porn, lots of promises

We live in a time where flamewars are newsworthy… The very word ‘flamewar’ just seems so antiquated.

Yikes

This is amazing.

An enterprising backer re-mixed the Star Citizen E3 trailer to match the current game’s actual frame rate.

Forget about the fact that most of what’s shown isn’t even IN the game.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhaahahahahahahahahahahahahh I am actually laughing out loud. I scared my cat.

Fantastic! 14.02, the real cinematic framerate.

Frankly, this thread and situation fascinates me.

Is there anyone on Q2T who is a backer/investor/early adopter/future victim of SC? (well, past Derek Smart)

Yea, several. I went in just for 20 because I remembered the Freespace stuff from way back and decided I could live if I lost this.

In for $35. Gonna’ ride it out.

Of course. I’m in for $125 for the Freelancer package.

I bought in for around $40 but it was so long ago I can’t even remember now. Wrote it off and moved on years ago.

Yeah I did the basic Kickstarter package when it first launched. I think it cost $45. I haven’t even logged into the Backerkit or registered on the RSI website or downloaded anything.

Yeah I am still in also, I got the $250 ship, I forget what its called.

I am dumb. :D

Is, is this insensitive?

Another casualty of Chris Roberts.

LOL!!

Help me out here, was it or wasn’t it supposed to be an MMO in the first place?
Kind of a symptom of how everyone wants their own special Star Citizen style cake, I suppose.

“No! Star Citizen will take the best of all possible worlds, ranging from a permanent, persistent world similar to those found in MMOs to an offline, single player campaign like those found in the Wing Commander series. The game will include the option for private servers, like Freelancer, and will offer plenty of opportunities for players who are interested in modding the content. Unlike many games, none of these aspects is an afterthought: they all combine to form the core of the Star Citizen experience.”

Quiet you! Don’t let Chris hear you. Jpeg cakes. Truly a lie.
