Steamy lunar sale 2020

There seem to be people discussing playing mp. Perhaps using Gameranger which says it is supported.

I think direct IP worked a few years back for a game several Qt3ers played. I was using the Steam version so it’s certainly doable, just not as easy as it might’ve been back in the day.

Good to know, thanks.

Yeah lots of folks use Gameranger for it.

I think Kohan must have been a Qt3 fetish. I played the demo for Kohan and it got a meh from me.

Fight me. :-)

Dems fighting words indeed. What I liked about Kohan was controlling companies, not individual units, the relatively original fantasy setting, and the campaign. I played only SP. I think it might have been meh for someone focused on MP, not sure.

I’ve never even heard of a Kohan.

I replayed the original midway through last year. The most epic battles in some missions, ebbing and flowing back & forth, edge-of-the-seat stuff.

I like these little, red price tags you see everywhere when you activate your $5 off coupon.

The original & prequel are very rarely on sale. I’ve only played 2, so this is a must buy for me.

I had these on the Gamestop service, probably from when it was Stardock’s. The one thing I remember is being frustrated because no matter what I did, units in the same group moved at different speeds so they arrived at their target at different times. I think there was a stance or setting where they should have traveled together, but they didn’t.

“The year of the rat”

Japan might like to think of it as year of the mouse. This is supported by the iconography on display.

Because Kawaii?

Alien Shooter 2 Legend has just come out and is 15% off.

Probably because its not much more different to the previous, right down to the same artwork and maps on the first few missions at least.

but still if you like the formula, which i do, its a tenner.

I read that some features were removed (looking at all the negative steam reviews) from this new version, that were in Alien Shooter 2 Reloaded. So better to grab the older game when its cheap.

I don’t believe the steam version of Kohan comes with the manuals.

I don’t remember the game being that complicated that you need a manual.

@robc04, you can put them in a formation and they will move together IIRC. Been years since I played, but I don’t remember that being an issue.

It’s just wierd because the when Impulse sold it, it came with PDF versions of all the manuals.

Anyway, we had some success with MP thanks to @Otagan and the game ranger service.

I wish more games would use the simple unit building system of Kohen.

I certainly don’t remember this being an issue when I replayed 1 last year.

I’m pretty sure I did, but maybe it’s user error or something.
