People don’t want to rock the boat, especially in the entertainment industry when it’s often a single person who holds the keys to a lot of people’s jobs. Lasseter was Pixar. I imagine a lot of people thought that if he went down the whole place would fall, or that the there was a good chance that you’d pay the price for making trouble. Not like there are a ton of gigs these days for people who specialize in animated CG films. There are only a few companies doing that.

Larry Nassar says he was assaulted by fellow inmates inside a Tucson, Arizona, federal prison where he is serving a 60-year sentence for child pornography.

While I don’t think enough is done to protect inmates in general, I agree. There is a certain “the punishment fits the crime” justice to it.
