The Intellivision is returning, and it has a new boss

Tommy must be on some good drugs

Or alternatively have no qualms about ripping off people

Did he work on 25th Anniversary or Judgment Rites? I love those games, I’d totally buy your friend 7 beers.

Is it possible that’s true? That he said that? If it doesn’t come out within the next 3 months he is screwed beyond belief.

I will never get back the 30 seconds I spent watching that. You should add a disclaimer.

About Walmart store brand Ethan Hawke?

The clip is called Amico Special Sales Projection Report and it is from a stream in June 2020.

In his chat with several fans, Tommy mentions a possible sales projection in Xmas ’21, or ’22 if delayed further, with a price drop to $199 and a conservative (his word) estimate of 10M units sold by the end of year 2 of its lifecycle.

It’s incredible how much crap is coming out from his mouth, and he’s surrounded by fawning sycophants. It’s like the NewsMax of terrible sales propaganda and those guys are lapping it up like scat porn.

Now I need to help myself to a whiskey.

Yea he’s such an obvious scammer but even these dumbfucks fall over themselves for access to him

Directly to 88s timestamp claim, same video as above though:

By the headline it sounds like Sam is predicting/baiting Tommy’s meltdown :)

A decent retro console idea for 2018…

I don’t think it was even that.

Their whole premise of the console, its games and SOP of this shitshow clownshow has to be “1981 was the peak of gaming and let’s close our eyes, plug our ears and ignore the last 40 years of videogame progress, magically thinking that the current landscape with other competitors does not exist” + Tommy executing everything in the worst possible manner

I don’t really follow this story. Is Tommy a scammer, or is he one of those completely delusional types who is clueless and totally believes his own bullshit?

Yeah, giving him the benefit of the doubt, this looks like a project he believed in, but as it started going south he felt like he was too invested to shut it down. So instead he has to try to make it work by the power of his will alone (since nobody is interested in helping him sell this piece of junk), and this is what that sort of thing looks like.

Make your own judgements about whether this is a trustworthy source.

Oh, I know. The writeup I linked is just hilarious for how far up Tommy’s ass it is.

One interesting thing I’ve found in my (very) long career in gaming PR is that no matter how bad the game I’m working on is, there are always one or two journalists who just love it. It becomes their favorite game for some reason, even though it’s obvious it’s not very good.

So perhaps this guy’s love of the Amico and Tommy are totally legit.

What I will never understand is why something that requires mass market success and was pitched as such, catered only to the niche within a niche of the gaming subculture: retro gamers.
