I need to re-watch this when I’m not half-asleep. But for now, all I remember is entirely too much Sgt Hatred and squick humor.
That episode was great, lot’s of call backs (the 7s, the shrink ray) and all the other fun stuff I’ve come to expect from Venture Brothers.
Yeah, finally a good one. Why? Henchmen, Monarch, Dr. Girlfriend, whacky science, Brock…everything that made the show good in the first place but has been lacking of late.

Rumor has it Adult Swim went from posting episodes immediately to waiting a week and a day.
The dumbest policy that exists is replaying episodes of serials more than a week after airing. All the does is force people to pirate to avoid falling behind.
Sons of Anarchy is doing the same crap with Hulu (though its a fucking month there iirc). I assume people watching when a show airs is better for the network, so its stupid as hell to force people to watch a whole series online after the fact if they miss a single episode of something.

I thought this was a solid episode. They did a god job with Sargent Hatred, but I think they’ve kind of borked Brock. I’m not sure what they point of Sphinx is, and there doesn’t seem to be any arc for them.
Tonight’s episode definitely felt weaker, not really any laugh out loud moments and honestly only a little table setting for the future it seems like.
Not a bad episode by any means, just not as good as last weeks.
Highlight moment might be Hank’s explanation on why he listed Batman as a career twice.
While I agree with your overall impressions, I also enjoyed the way Hank passed every test Sphinx could throw at him with ease. I was hoping he’d join Sphinx, thus bringing Brock back into the main storyline permanently. Ah well.
“Vatican karate gorilla blood” was the best part of the episode.

I thought the latest episode was a bit on a slow side as well. I never found Phantom Limb to be overly entertaining, and a pathetic Mr. Impossible is just that, pathetic.
On a completely unrelated note, does anyone else think Dr. Henry Killinger and his magic murder bag is the best character on the show despite his limited occurrence?
Fixed that so we don’t get millions of posts. You want to know how awesome Dr. Killinger is? I actually tried to build a murder bag. No shit, I went looking for a doctor’s bag that I could keep my competition guns in so I could show up at matches and say “I’m Matt and this is my magic murder bag” and then haul out my sweet Limited class gun.
