On refection all these absurd ‘gunblades’ are just bayonets. Which means they’re technically spears rather than swords.
How much gun would a gunchuck chuck, if a gunchuck could chuck gun?
Borderlands actually had a gun that shot swords. IIRC it could be pretty powerful if you got the right variant.
Because Mister Torgue Said So. – Fires a single projectile in the shape of a sword which explodes upon impact, spawning three smaller swords, which also explode on impact. Consumes 2 ammo per shot.
It’s a gun, though, so it doesn’t count.
That is basically a flechette weapon.
