A new week, and along with it, more games! Wild at Heart looks neat, and it’s coming to Game Pass on Day One, so not a wallet threat. That new EA game is coming to Ultimate Game Pass on Day One too, though it’s a multiplayer title, so I’m not really interested. Days Gone comes to the PC this week. There’s other intriguing names this week that I’ve never heard before that sound neat. Like “Just Die Already”. I’m surprised there’s never been a game with that name before, I feel like we say that a lot when we’re playing games. This big wallet threat to me this week is Sunless Skies: Sovereign edition.

Kowloon Highschool Chronicle, an incredible mix of puzzle, dungeon crawling, tactical battles, simulation game, adventure game, novel game, what else, is coming out translated in English on the Switch eshop this week too.

Very much Green this week. I might have given Days Gone a spin if it were on Game Pass (ha!), but despite the fan backlash it still doesn’t sound like something I want to spend money on.
That does look intriguing. From 2004? So PS2/Gamecube era, I guess.
It was a PS2 game. Kinda buggy, it got a couple of rereleases, which had their own bugs as well.
The Switch version is fully dubbed (I don’t really care for that) but based on the initial PS2 release from what I gathered then. It got a sketchy release in Japan: it was quite bugged as well, although there seems to have been support, and I am secretly hoping the localization team did good on fixing the eventual rough edges.
Also it’s 30$, while it is still priced 70 in Japan, if like myself, you enjoy spending money while duping yourself into thinking that you’re actually saving some.
I’ll get that one for free, so no wallet threat for me. Well, kind of. The second DLC for AI War 2 comes out today, and I’m getting it, but it should be cheap enough to not be a threat at all, even if I’m getting it on both Steam and GOG.
Big question is next week. I’m still figuring out if I’ll buy Biomutant or not.
Difficult survival strategy roguelike with OK reviews and there is a demo. Definitely going to give this one a shot.

I’m deferring this decision until I see some reviews. It is certainly a potential threat!
“Build mode and interface is a hot mess, instead of placing blueprints and assigning builders, you select a guy, click on work bench, wait for guy to walk over to work bench, place blueprint, wait for guy to walk over to blueprint, to start building. Every action feels like it takes too many steps, and there’s too much waiting in between steps. The game also isn’t real time with pause, meaning every second you spend guiding one person through their 8 step build process, something else isn’t getting done.”
Emphasis added. This paragraph from one of the Steam reviews puts me off a bit, given apparently there is time pressure in this phase of the game.
Oh well I guess I should dl the demo and try it myself.
It’s Biomutant week, finally! And Saints Row The Third Remastered comes to the new generation consoles. And you have to check with your doctor to see if Solasta is right for you. If it is, it’s on game pass on Day One so not too much of a wallet threat. I believe Game Pass also adds Maneater this week. Too much good stuff! It’s finally here, the flood of early summer releases.

Not a threat for me since I’m a backer, but don’t forget Festering Skies dlc for Phoenix Point the 25th.
Too many games this week. I’ve pre-ordered BioMutant (a rarity for me), and MW5 coming to GP on the Xbone- that’s the GP release I’m interested to try. I’ll try Maneater at some point, but I’m not in a rush. And there’s Wild at Heart that just hit GP. And I did pick up Sunless Skies (it’s on sale for launch week! Sure, it only saved me like $2.50, but it’s the principle- I didn’t pay full price!). I’m glad there aren’t a lot of releases I’m really looking forward to in the next few months. I think the next (semi-confirmed) one is Phoenix Point on Xbox in September. Well, besides Disco Elysium. And I’ll check out The Ascent. Goddamn it. At least I’m not paying for two of those.
I’m currently in the home stretch for Subnautica: Below Zero. I think. Just need to wrap this up before Tuesday…

For this week, the only game I’m interested in (that I don’t already have) is Biomutant, but I’m waiting on reviews. Embargo will be lifted in a couple hours, if I’m not mistaken. If reviews are good enough, I might preorder it today.
