Eh, I’m not really a fan of resigning from the presidency based upon non-felonies which happened long before he was running for office. Even though I think Trump is one of the worst human beings to hold the office, and I thought he was a stupid POS before he ran. It’s not like people didn’t know this when they voted for him.
If you believe Trump should resign over supposed acts committed before he was president then don’t you have to believe that Bill Clinton should have been forced to resign for what he did with an intern while president.
And most of my dislike for Trump goes back to his behavior and attitudes before he was president. What he has said since becoming president has only validated my previous belief.
Yes, saying that Trump should resign over these allegations kind of detracts from one’s ability to credibly super his resignation for the coming crimes.
Jones’ point is pretty valid: People (Franken, etc.) are resigning because their characters have been thrown into question and there is a good chance that they won’t be able to do their jobs effectively now that they have been exposed as scumbags and hypocrites.
Trump - and to some extent Bill Clinton - were exposed as scumbags LONG before we the people elected them to office. I dare say that no one who cast a vote in 2016 did so without full knowledge of the Billy Bush tape and/or Trump’s equally hideous statements about women to Howard Stern. Everyone knew what we were getting.
Though one might credibly argue that no one who does, says, or thinks those things should be allowed to hold power in this nation (or any other).
Though I guess we’d have to go through the process of replacing 80-90% of our male politicians, which could get a little messy.

Putting this here cuz it’s 2017 and lol nothing matters. Alas Ms. Parker announced her marital engagement last week, Sir Trigger. I, like you, are no doubt bereft. We will carry on but certainty with less joy.
We should be happy for Ms. Parker, as well as her future husband. After all, it’s not common to date and marry a woman who’s thoughts you can read.
