RED HOT SALE @ Fanatical
Outriders has a 3 day free trial and $22 sale on Steam. Itâs 44GB installed.
Yes, haha. I played this and Another World back when they were released.
I loved the old side view games like these and Prince of Persia and Karateka. I donât think Iâve played Fade to Black, which looks quite different and is a 3D game?
Fade to Black is very different and I donât think it is available anywhere nowadays⌠I still have the CD, though. Maybe it would work with DOSBox, but Iâm not that motivated to try. :)
Dammit⌠I might be thinking of Fade to Black. Told ya it was a long time ago!
Is flashback the original or the remake?
I loved Fade to Black. Played that on the original Playstation way back in 1997. It was sort of a 3D Flashback.

Fanatical has a new bundle for $3.49 that includes Astronarch, which is a well-liked autobattler. Iâm not familiar with the rest of the games, but the bundle price is less than the historical low for Astronarch.
Eternal Castle is a brilliant-looking, average-playing Another World-like. Worth at least checking out if you pick up the bundle.
I had bought Astronarch in the Steam sale, but I refunded it and bought this bundle instead when I got the email this afternoon.
Ah, the old IBM CGA color palettes. I wasnât a fan of the brown/red/green one.
Good times.
For Amazon Prime peoples, new free games! Maniac Mansion! Also Suzerain, Fishing North Atlantic, and Fell Seal: Arbiterâs Mark. Plus I guess a chance to claim a bunch of games that were given away before if you missed them.
Edit: And of course weekly free games on Epic: Geneforge 1 - Mutagen, Hood: Outlaws & Legends, and Iratus: Lord of the Dead.
Geneforge 1: Mutagen is phenomenal if you like old school, turn-based RPGs at all. An excellent revamp of what was already probably my favorite game from one of my favorite developers.
I played one of the other ones (Abbadon, Black Fortress something or other?) for a while but wasnât able to stick it out to the end. Iâm looking forward to giving this one a try, as IIRC it got a pretty good reception around here.
For all the positive or negative one could say about the design of the physical version, Talisman digital is a 1:1 of it. I have the digital version on Switch and the side version (which is more of a solo/quest variant) called Talisman Origins on my iPad. Both are fun to have a digital board game adventure for a bit. The everything Talisman (2 games and 52 DLCs) is on sale on Humble Bundle for $10ish. Which is less than the cost it would be to get a few DLC for my existing copies.
I will cross post on the deals thread.
