Battlestar Galactica 19: Operation Airlift

No, I just didn’t know what to add too the conversation. I should’ve said something anyway.
Everyone’s made mistakes, deliberate or not, even me. I get what you’re saying, there must be two terrorists… cylons, whether they’re nice or not.

So, blowing up the centurion sounds really good, even if I have to burn a 5 card.

Sounds good to me

Can’t be certain the pres will keep his word. Better take care of it now.

Thinking about things more the soe was indeed pretty powerfull for the cylons I must admit, don’t want to sound weak sauce of course
Still I’m not certain of anyone atm

I can wave it away on my turn at the possible loss of 1 population .

If you’re willing to XO me, move to armory first we can squeeze in an extra action or two. Otherwise go nuke the centurion.

You’re literally going to waste a card based on Cylon advice here. If I’m lying there’s still time to XO and use it. Note that at least one Cylon is doing this so I can’t prove my humanity.

I can’t, and I shouldn’t without certainty due to how hurtful it can be.

Since this card is probably not going to be useful soon, I’ll move to the armory and kill the toaster, burning Piloting 5(LR) to do it. Sorry, @rowe33, can’t trust you either. I should have time until the cylons come up again to escort the civilians.

EDIT: I don’t know how you would have done it, this guarantees it ends with one card that shouldn’t be needed.

Fair enough if you don’t have an XO, but let me reiterate that there is nothing damaging I can really do if I were a hidden Cylon at this moment. I don’t hold a position, I can’t scour the quorum deck, there are no raiders to feed civvies to, etc. The danger with XOing the person next in line is that they’ll do a hail mary and run away; I already threw away the best hail mary a Cylon could hope for.

Billy is implying that he has in hand a quorum card called “Authorisation of Brute Force” that can remove a heavy/centurion at the risk of 1pop. Now if you did it like I suggested before escaping the brig, I’d be more inclined to believe you.

Well done, Cylon. Now I can’t prove I’m human. Fun times ahead.

I wouldn’t have been able to get out of the Brig in that scenario.

Revealing then Super Crisis isn’t amazing, but it’s still a good way to do it, I think. But unless you had a better way of killing it, I’m ok with doing it myself.

@rowe33, I still would have to trust you, and soon would spend a turn shooting at it, but that’s probably over-optimizing and maybe misreading the players. I’ll mull it over for next time. Looking at where the BSs are, you’ll have another shot.

EDIT: soon wouldn’t shoot it, he would XO me

In my experience super crises have not been terribly super. Certainly not worth the cost of wasting an SoE, earning your trust, revealing and discarding before I get to spike the regular crisis just to play a random super crisis on the next turn.

Don’t worry to much, it’s the rule you don’t xo the person next to you when you don’t have all cylons accounted for. You played it like you should

Heck, I won’t be xoing anyone till I know or some ultra dire situation comes up

Probably not, no, not without ships.
I promise to be attentive and look really hard at the situation when I get another XO. In fact, I’ll read the game again to make more notes now (well, today), as it’s getting foggy and I need more certainty.

What I should have suggested is that you move to brig Apollo. If we have an IC and Billy demonstratively led said brigging, then maybe it would have been some evidence of his humanity.

nm i thought you meant xo billy then brig

Looked up a bit, you’ve not been a very good cylon for a while, that’s for sure. Of course, that’s not enough to tell. But then, why would jeffrey not lie about rowe? Unless he was…
Yeah, not sure I’ll get somewhere, but I need to check it all.

ah, but would it not be far better for me then to have checked soon and call him a cylon, then he would have been in the brig for sure. now i helped my fellow human to get out of the brig.

Anyway, you can be a cylon now, since you didnt contribute anything to the last check. Killing the centurion is nice but you knew billy had the easy card to kill it.

Still im not the one to easily judge people, my guess is we will find out sooner than later whats going on

I played a pointless G&I when I had few cards for a measly 6 check. You can accuse me of playing badly, for sure.

I feel any guess is as good as any other, too.

At that point I don’t think you probably weren’t completely sure who was Cylon and who was not, and you stood to benefit either way.

So fellow humans, I’d like to spend some time in the Admiral’s quarters next turn, board willing, but I’d need agreement and cooperation. Let’s start talking.

Billy is up first, but Apollo has the CAG that we can remove via brigging. Billy also has a slightly higher chance of being human.

Holy frak, you’re really going to brig me again??
