Justice League - DC and Warner Bros' superpowered team-up movie

Ooof. Right there with you, man. I try to brace myself for that moment near the end, but it gets me everytime.

Coco just didn’t click with me much. It was entertaining I guess, but I definitely prefer Zootopia and its comedy stylings. Perhaps you need to have kids to get hit by the “feels” in Coco and get won over?

I mean I hate kids and I loved it. And no real connection to the Mexican heritage on display, as my Guatemalan mother tried her very best to get me to hate and fear Mexicans growing up… ;-)

Dunno though. It hit me right in the heart despite all that.

Since this sort of became the DCU general info thread…

  1. Ben Affleck is out.
  2. Matt Reeves’ The Batman is set before the other DCU movies.
  3. The Suicide Squad (Suicide Squad 2) is being written and directed by James Gunn
  4. There’s a DC Super Pets movie coming.

It’ll be cool to see a Batman movie set before World War I. I wonder how old Batman will be by the time Wonder Woman 1984 is in business.

There’s a DC Super Pets movie coming…

FTFY

Au contraire! Wonder Woman was technically set after Batman v Superman. The meat of the movie was Diana’s flashback.

The meat of the movie was the setting, bookended by flash-forwards!

Warner Bros really need to take some more pointers from the DC Animated Universe. Most of which are far better than their live action counterparts. Particularly:

The Dark Knight Returns
Part 1: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2313197/
Part 2: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2166834/
Batman is old… and really pissed off.

Justice League Dark

An R rated Constantine/Batman crossover

Good job Disney, you done fucked up.

Gunn probably about the best choice for this. I can’t remember though, was this known before? Or were we all just (reasonably confidently) speculating?

It was confirmed that he was writing it, but this is the first official notice that he’s also directing.

Where does WB go with the DCEU now?

Joker just made a billion dollars with an R rating, so guess what?

I don’t think anyone cares.

I’d still like some more Wonder Woman. The others can tag along with her if they like.

But R rated Wonder Woman sounds like a really bad idea.

Agreed.

What? You don’t want the lasso of truth to be made of razorwire so that WW can just slice bad guys limbs off to get them to tell the truth? It wouldn’t even need to be “magic” or anything BS like that.

Sounds like perfect fit for Snyder’s DC Murderverse.

I’d go see this movie:

Why not go all the way to NC-17?

They might sell a few tickets!

I can’t believe I’m the first to post this!
