It’s an XCOM-like from Julian “XCOM” Gollop. Might have been interesting if it hadn’t mistreated its Kickstarter backers.

Also, genuine question, was Gollop the one who basically said “we don’t need backers now that we have Epic money” or was that someone else? I can’t keep track.

No idea. I seriously doubt Gollop said that and I can’t find that in a search. The DLC thing is based on this -

“We have enough resources to release the game, but the Epic deal will help the game enormously in terms of quality and post-release content,” he said. “It helps give our employees security and gives them the confidence they can get the job done, despite the stress and high expectations.”
