Aretha Franklin singing Respect. For the longest time I thought she sings, “R…E…S…P…E…C…T, Take out TCP.” And that made no sense. So I finally looked it up. She actually sings,“R…E…S…P…E…C…T, Take care… TCB.” TCB meaning take/taking care of business. I’m not too bright.

But looking up her latest stuff:
Meh. Completely generic. Her new songwriter sucks compared to the keyboard guy from Nightwish. She should have moved into Kate Bush style music with a twist of metal.
You should look them up. The last two Nightwish albums in particular have been great, IMHO. Imaginaerum and Endless Forms Most Beautiful are both concept albums, and plenty of good individual songs on each. Still can’t keep a singer around for long, but they somehow keep finding good ones.
And very different album types. Imaginarium has this undertone of blues. Endless forms has an even stronger folk influence than the days of even Wishmaster.
Endless Forms is actually the best Nightwish album, I was surprised to realize the other day. Then again, I never liked Anette much… But Floor? Good goddamn she’s incredible live (and I say that having seen them perform once apiece with each vocalist).
Agreed! I saw them back in February and it was awesome. That’s the only Nightwish show I’ve been to, though. I envy you those opportunities to see prior lineups!

Just saw this look on a guy and not sure how to feel about it. Guy has a beard, and his hair is blonde down to about the midst of his sideburns. Below this, it’s dark brown/black (hard to tell from a distance) lower sideburns and beard. He’s basically two-toned. I’m not sure if this is cool, lazy or weird.
Mine is somewhat similar. Dark brown to about mid ear, and almost a copper color below that.
But do you dye it like that, or is it natural?
