Heh, the article is definitely on point in that the learning curve for Star Citizen is definitely a tad… steep? at the moment.
Ultimately, I think this is for the best, in terms of flight controls and stuff. But flying effectively isn’t really something that you can just pick up in a few minutes.

Got up at 12:30 to check download progress. Was in game long enough to walk around and fly a bit. First impression, it runs smooth as silk on new system as opposed to 1fps slide show on old one. Second impression, it looks damn good. This is a game I’d buy at launch, no problem.
Just need to learn the controls which are counter-intuitive as hell. Man, that keyboard mouse setup, what were they thinking? And the magnifying glass for the keybindings? What were they thinking yet again?
A little more transparency in the interface and yeah, I like it. Will be standing by for future updates, I still get the RSI email. Now that I’ve seen it I can safely say that there is a there, there. On my radar for sure.

I agree the magnifying glass is rather conspicuous. Somehow they managed to get by without it before they reshuffled all of the bindings in 2.4.
What aspects of the KB+M setup are bugging you in particular?
I guess what I meant was that I need a keyboard overlay like in Red Storm Rising. :) I’m an old man.

I still have my Freespace 2 physical overlay. Too bad that game is so terrible.
