I think we and especially you guys should give Chris Roberts a break. He grew up in coding when the processes and realities of game development were very different. For example, back in the 1990s, the screens we played our games on were smaller and very curved. Now they are bigger and totally flat. This can mess up your perspective from a coder’s viewpoint and make different items not line up properly. Programmers growing up now don’t have that problem. But being from back then gives you a lot of historical advantages. So we should wait and see if it gets better.
Also, we should all give him another $200m so that he can make it better. We owe him that much.

Yes. You are correct. I miss the days when I had a 340Mb SCSI drive on a 486 DX 50 mobo and I accidentally broke one of the terminating resistors so that I had to order one from a vendor who charged me the price of a new HDD.

Oh, lord, I remember buying a gigantic secondhand SCSI server drive from a sketchy online vendor and setting it to format overnight. It was so loud it kept my roommate up (I slept great). Never did finish. Sent it back.
