Star Citizen - Chris Roberts, lots of spaceship porn, lots of promises

Can we just pretend that this thread is part of the six-degree incestuous industry hive of scum and villainy and share the mysterious settlement number?

(I’m guessing the answer is no because it’s not actually known.)

They settled on:

Crytek Received 10 Kraken SpaceAirCraft Carriers:

CIG Received Full Rights to the Crytek Space Turtle Model:

What’s going to ba amazing is that now, when the game finally launches, Crytek is just gonna grief all the players into dust with their OP super carrier fleet and the eternal anger of a lover scorned.

This really would be the best possible outcome of the suit. I want this to happen and to watch videos of it.

I had to go google it to see if the Crytek Space Turtle was really a thing. I didn’t find that, but I did find this:

LOLOLOL

CIG has agreed to pay Crytek the amount of $1 billion dollars. Just announced. All paid in jpegs of hundred dollar bills.

So Chris Roberts doesn’t have honey to trade for mead, or something? I guess they could do virtual hobby farm products.

My understanding from reading a few places is that the turtle is a stock asset in cryengine, but I don’t know 100% that it is true.

Hahaha.

I mean, if we can get this:

It is obviously worth waiting another 4-5 years.

Why is there no like button?!

You think Prison Uniform is game changing? Just wait until Q3* when this drops!

* Will be delayed until Q3 2022

Sweet!

I have a improved grenade throw mod on my equipment in Destiny 2 and it improved the game by 100%, so it will be worth the wait.

I’ve always felt it entertaining that their solution for not completing something difficult (making their game) was to decide to take on an additional difficult thing (make another game at the same time).

“We’re having trouble getting all this stuff done.”

“Let’s try to do twice as much!”

“Great idea!”

I get that assets overlap and whatnot, but still.

It worked for Imperial Japan–when they got bogged down in China, they attacked the US and the UK. Erm, wait, I guess that didn’t actually work, did it?

Not sure were you got that from. Actually up until Mar 13th, they were still updating the public road map.

The last official SQ42 roadmap was released on Mar 6th

Basically, yeah. Thing is that backers kept complaining about the lack of progress shown in the roadmap. Rather than admit that they’re really not making much progress, they just said “Fuck it, we won’t do a SQ42 roadmap now then”

Seriously, if that doesn’t make a reasonable backer raise eyebrows, I don’t know what to say. But there it is.

Clearly you know nothing about game development if you are doubting that they know wtf they’re doing. I mean, look at it this way, it takes money to make games. So the more money backers throw at them, the more likely they are to succeed at reinventing the wheel.

I can’t even stop laughing.
