Well in the big picture, I’m not really mad about the whole deal since I’ve put in who knows how many hours without paying a dime, so I’m ok with giving these guys some money. And it’s not like $60 breaks the bank either. Just seems like this whole deal could have been more straightforward - you can just straight up but most ships, but some have to gambles for apparently. Maybe that will change.
500 zen a month, I think. It’s like having a $15 a month sub, basically. You also get a ‘special’ Tier 5 ship for each faction and things like liberated Borg bridge officers, a ‘Veteran’ ship skin and some odd titles.
Edit: On the downside it’s $300, down to $200 in a sale that they usually only do when a major expansion launches. This late in the game I wouldn’t know if it’s worth having or not. Depends on how long you think the game will live, I guess.

I’m not interested in the endgame, and the ships given away during events are good enough to run through the story missions, so I just stick to the freebies.

I played this to 50 as a Romulan for KDF on XB1
So I did in fact get my hands on a Kelvin timeline Constitution class heavy cruiser, a nice English woman was selling one on eBay and we made the trade last night. I’ll see if I can get some shots for our spaceship porn aficionados.
This thread prompted me to log in again. The UI is all messed up. I can’t type in chat without activating my hotkeys. How do I fix this?

I fixed the chat problem by relogging and then refraining from alt-tabbing. Using the Windows key instead of alt-tab seems to prevent chat problems.
Now I’m flummoxed by the required skill reset. I’m reading advice on reddit and elsewhere, but I can’t seem to find STO’s equivalent of Icy Veins or WoWhead (World of Warcraft guide sites). Is there a must-see guide somewhere?
I’ve been a bit tempted to get back into STO, but it’s one of the more obtuse mmo’s out there, I’ve found. I have to re-read about the game every time I want to get back to it after a break. http://www.stoacademy.com has some guides and overviews, but not sure how deep they go.
