Hello my friends, and welcome to a new week of spacey gaming! This week’s game of the week is a favorite of mine, a pinnacle of the genre, and still one of the finest games of its type. I’m talking about the one, the only, Wing Commander: Privateer. No, there was never a sequel. ;)
On the Podcast this week (Tuesday, 5:30 PM Pacific, Twitch, YouTube, Mixer), the topic is “Can You Go Back Again?”, in which we’ll each play some of the games from when we were twenty and talk about our memories of them, and whether they hold up.
On the LAN Party (Thursday, 5:30 PM Pacific, Twitch, YouTube, Mixer), we’ll be returning to the surprising and delightful Geneshift to see their new progression changes.

You know Brian, I gotta say I only rarely have the time to listen to your podcast or watch your videos these days (or anybody’s really, that’s not about you) but I appreciate you’re out there making content and I respect your diligence and consistency.

If I had more time, I’d really like to watch these videos. I like your reflections as you think through your options. I’m really intersted in this mod as well.
It’s a really great mod and i’m enjoying the play-through quite a lot. The Warhammer Fantasy world is much more interesting to me thematically and makes re-learning how to play CK2 much easier. The episodes being posted to Youtube currently are from a recent 6 hour session on Twitch. Anyone that wants to binge can watch the full session there.
Good article to have handy - though it doesn’t cover any new ground on an argument that’s been going on for several years (we’ve had numerous threads about it just on Qt3), it’s always good to have a lawyer on record as saying they don’t think most of this content would pass the fair-use test (and noting that while Let’s Plays might pass that test in gamers’ incredibly biased eyes, and even in his own eyes, they’d almost certainly fail in the eyes of a court dealing with a relatively new medium).
