Boy there’s a lot of card battlers/deck builders coming out lately aren’t there?
Because I’ve already played this in recent years and I’ve stopped and started Starcraft 2 a billion times (man, oh, man do I not like spam-hammering hot keys now days), I’m waiting for Warcraft IV or Age of Empires IV before I figure out if I want to buy anymore RTS games.
I think WC3 is the only game my wife and I ever played (13 years ago) where we had to stop because I was such a fucking asshole to her she was ready to stab my face. I wasn’t an asshole in the sense I was upset or yelling at her, more like I bullying and trolling her by warping my mage in, interfering with her stuff, and teleporting right back out before she could deal with me. Sure, while I was doing that she might route me and wreck my entire settlement and win, but that didn’t stop me from having more fun trolling her than winning, and her wanting to punch me for it. Also she hated my siege tank blitzes.
Journey to the Savage Planet
This looks interesting mechanically and gameplay-wise, but I’m burned out on the look of its aliens. I can’t even remember the games off the top of my head, but they just look too goofy for me. They come off to me like the paint splashes on a shitty early 2000s mousepad, or boxes of 90s sugary drinks for kids.
I definitely am. I backed both Pillars of Eternity games on Kickstarter/faux-Kickstarter, so I own the base games on PC. But I liked that when Pillars of Eternity came to Xbox Game Pass, it was the complete edition, with all the DLC. Not that I’ve played much of either the first game or the sequel, and will probably never get to the DLC, but I still like the concept of having access to it.
I also expect Journey to the Savage Planet and Kentucky Route Zero as prime fodder for Game Pass actually.
Another week, another large number of titles for the Switch. And a whole bunch of titles on PC which I assume are Steam titles. The Switch and Steam gamehoses continue to spray us with games.

According to my Game Pass app, this wasn’t just released today, it was also added to Game Pass for PC. Remote installing now.
Edit: Oh wait, it’s listed as an Early Access game. So maybe it’s not worth installing now. If I’d never played Long Dark in the early access period, I might have been able to enjoy it after final release.
Big triple-A games only for PS4 this week, Dreams and Yakuza 5.
It’s tough to put this together for you guys now. Kotaku used to do all the hard work. I wonder if they fired that guy, but the new guys is not putting his back into it, clearly:

I guess I’ll look on Gamespot. They list way too much. Like they list Kingdom Come: Deliverance for PC in a couple of days. That must mean its free release on the Epic Game Store. So this might have redundancies.

Jesus Christ, that took forever to “de-format”. And contains way too much stuff over and over. I’m not doing this again.
It lists only Japanese, although sometimes those listings omits other languages.
The game is published by Ubi Soft there. It also is released with 3 DLC, Germany, France and Britain, priced 15$ each, effectively doubling the price of the game. No bundle.
I already own Vanquish and Bayonetta on the 360 I think, they’re in my backlog. And I think both are playable on Xbox One through backward compatibility. But hey, they also release on PS4 and Xbox One this week. I wonder if they updated something? Any other potentially good games a threat to the wallet this week?

Devil May Cry 3 on Switch is real hot, but my real wallet threats are two other rereleases on Switch that hit next week, Rune Factory 4 Special and Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection.
I saw this recommended rating from Eurogamer. Apparently this is a multiplayer game from Crytek that’s long been in early access. Not my genre, but good reviews bode well I guess.
